Yondaime Hokage

The man

Yondaime was born to average parents (his mother is half French, half British, and his father is Chinese), but he was certainly not average. He was a rather precocious child, not quite a prodigy, but smarter than your average child. He began learning things earlier than most in life, however, and his ability to retain information placed him in advanced classes, and he ended up skipping several grades. He decided to attend Oshima High School after hearing about it from one of his father's co-workers during the time he attended middle school in Japan. The specialized nature of the program appealed to him, and he was one of the star students at his time, not simply because of his young age. He graduated from Oshima when he was sixteen.

Yondaime, heavily influenced by his favorite teacher and mentor - Kawazu Jiraiya, moved on to college where he earned his B.A. in English education. Four years later he returned to Oshima, in hopes of becoming a teacher there. The was no opening for him, though, and he was adamant about not teaching elsewhere. Not wanting to discourage his former student, the principal at the time, Sandaime Sarutobi, urged Yondaime to attend graduate school. In his words, "It'd be nice to have someone who cares so deeply for the school and the community to take over when I retire."

With the goal of becoming the principal of his alma mater in mind, Yondaime quickly graduated with his Masters Degree in school administration, while also substituting occasionally at Oshima High. Soon after his graduation, Sandaime retired, and Yondaime was hired (after a unanimous vote by the board of education and the PTA) as the principal of the high school. He was twenty-six at the time. Under his guidance, Oshima continued to flourish, becoming an icon for the small island.

However, like all good things, the end had to come. With the eruption of Mihara-tan, Yondaime's position as a community leader was put to the test. He made sure all of his students, faculty, and fellow administrators were quickly and safely evacuated from the island before he focused on getting the other citizens to safety. After making sure that the island was completely evacuated, it was too late for him to make his escape. Stuck on the island, he did his best to remain safe. He found a reasonably safe place to wait out the danger, but the toxic fumes and ash caused him to fall unconscious. Hours later, when it was still unsafe for anyone to return to the island, Uchiha Mikoto, a friend of his and one of his father's business associates, flew in via helicoptor and began searching for him. She succeeded, and within two hours of arriving on the island, was able to rescue him and bring him to a hospital. Since his condition was so severe, however, he was quickly transferred to a larger hospital in a different region.

Thinking it better to keep her knowledge of Yondaime's recue to herself until it was certain Yondaime would be out of harm's way, Mikoto said nothing. When a team of safety inspectors visited the island before opening it again, though, they found a skeleton that was similar to Yondaime in its height and structure. Thus, Yondaime was declared dead, and the entire island mourned the loss of such a great man. He was thirty-two.

When Yondaime recovered, doctors discovered that some of his memory was lost. Mikoto continued to help Yondaime, though, and he once again entered college and got a degree in business. For the next four years after graduation, Yondaime served as the Foreign Affairs and Business Consultant for Uchiwa Enterprises. Memories he had long forgotten about began resurfacing, however, and he sought information from Mikoto. She explained some of what happened, refusing to tell him everything. She answered the main questions he had had, and now Yondaime is back in Japan, back in Oshima, as if pulled by a force he doesn't quite understand, to see what else he can remember.
